The Running Y’s Bill Collier Ice Arena hosts a free daddy-daughter ice skating event and Kaylee was ecstatic to attend! We took a few snapshots beofre the fun evening that ensued between daddy and daughter. A final fun shot with Kaylee being swept off with an umbrella, illustrating how time flies!
Klamath Falls, OR – Kyle & Tina Mitchell {11.03.2012}
Posted: January 1, 2013 Filed under: DCLphotography, Engagements, Family Portraits Leave a commentTina and Kyle are very special clients because they are also my sister and brother in law. The miles between us is more than I like, but we are dreaming and planning of the day we can drive only minutes to see one another! When they said they were coming to Klamath Falls for a visit, I was excited! When they said they wanted photos done while they were in town, I was elated!
The skies in Klamath Falls are often great back drops with insane colors and dramatic clouds (one huge benefit of onsite photography). I was hoping for an intense sky since it had stormed the evening before. It wasn’t quite as I had hoped, but the session turned out very nice. It ended up being a session where every image is remarkable and decisions for the “keepers” was difficult. Here are a few of the images from our session!
Klamath Falls, OR ~ Casey Family Photo Session {10.16.2012}
Posted: October 24, 2012 Filed under: Family Portraits Leave a commentThis family photo session took place at Moore Park and then down town in Klamath Falls, OR. The Casey family was a joy to photograph. As I edited this session, I smiled at the memory of how little Peirce said my name. He was told to “look at Denise” enough times that he soon started telling his family to do so. Unlike her energetic brother, little Annalie sat still and had a smile readily available for the camera. I love sessions with children. Capturing a glimpse of their personalities and innocence is very rewarding. I will warn you now, I have many images to share here. The Caseys were up to a full shoot and going to different locations, even with the little ones in tow.
Thank you Stephanie and Patrick! It was a pleasure!
Wheat Field Portraits / Pendleton, OR / 6.30.2012

They are a part of the history and culture, and they provide a great natural back drop for portraits! 🙂 I love the texture of the fields and the contrast against blue skies. I was so excited to shoot two family sessions in a row in the wheat fields surrounding Pendleton, OR. Here are just a few of the final images! And my clients…..they were pretty gorgeous too!
