Klamath Falls, OR ~ Young At Heart Toys {04.22.14}

Introducing a fabulously unique store that takes me back to childhood the instant I walk in the door!  Young At Heart Toys has so many items that you can’t just find at your local department store!  When I met owner Julie Thomson, I came to realize she has created a magical place for the Klamath area.  We have joined efforts with another talented lady, Ashley Spivey of Peanut and Pooty Pants to create the Celebrating Klamath’s Kids event.  The Celebrating Klamath’s Kids event will be held at this magical location on May 24, 2014.

 The front of the store has a selection of classic children’s book collections.

Dress up and play is displayed throughout the store.

Toys from around the world are found here.  Some of my timeless favorites are the brightly colored wooden European toys.  Of course, the life size Lego display is a definite eye catcher!

Young At Heart Toys has the largest selection of Groovy Girl dolls I have ever seen!  One Groovy Girl character even makes special appearances at the store for parties.  All girls are invited during these events and encouraged to bring their doll as well.

Every turn and angle of this place has something new to capture your attention.  When I visit the store, I chat with locals who spend their lunch break just browsing the eye candy.

Aroma therapy spa DIY ice cream (bath salts) bar…..how fun!

The vintage look of these circus toys just caught my eye.

I wanted to get down lower to see the store from a child’s perspective.

As you can see, it is just as intriguing.

Be sure to leave a comment of your visit and “Like” the Young At Heart Toys Facebook page too!

Aurora, OR ~ Heirloom Revival Co. {2014}

Vintage style weddings seem to be an ongoing trend and the Heirloom Revival Co. in Aurora, OR is just the place to discover the perfect props!  An antique table for the candy buffet, a vintage suitcase for cards,  a shabby window frame for a thank you sign…. The ideas are endless!  I wanted to share this little shop with upcoming brides and grooms, wedding planners, and antique buffs!

I was so excited to see my very dear friend and her family at their new shop – the Heirloom Revival Co. in Aurora, OR.  It is adorable!  Its filled with fabulous antiques that each tell a story…they really tell a story! You can pick up an antique here that comes to life with its own information card included.  They have the cutest cards attached that may include what it is, where it came from, etc. The super sweet bistro can serve up your favorite beverage of choice for you to enjoy while you browse the treasures.  {This is wedding planning juice!}  They even have a drive through if your need a cup of joe to go! Congrats to Nikki, John and Family as they are expecting their second baby girl!  The weather wasnt quite what I was hoping for in this session, but I do like the moody feeling in these images.  This gorgeous mamma brightened up the images on her own, no sun required 😉  Thanks Nikki for a fun shoot!
