When asked how she started her business, Nancy says, “A family friend asked if I would do her wedding flowers. I had worked with drieds and silks, but never fresh. I have always had a creative eye and passion for flowers and thought, well how hard can it be? After spending many hours perfecting the designs and everything turning out just how the bride wanted, I was hooked and knew I needed to pursue my passion of bringing life to every occasion with flowers”. Seventeen years later, Flowers by Nancy Joslin is providing flowers and event planning for Oregon, Washington and destination weddings. Her favorite part is being creative and helping people make their special day a reality within their budget. Nancy also includes a complimentary toss bouquet in every wedding package.
Here is my entry for the I Heart Faces “Love” Photo Challenge. This is an image of love and an image I love…..
One of my bridal show booth neighbors at the 2013 Klamath County Bridal Fair was Botanica Creations. Brides were drawn into the colorful booth by the amazingly creative and unique creations that were displayed. I didn’t see one bride pass the Botanica Creations booth without turning into it and admiring the arrangements within.
Dawnielle Tehama is the owner of Botanica Creations and a master mind of beautiful floral and non-floral arrangements that are sure to make a statement at any event. She listened intently to brides as they explained their wedding plans and made suggestions that excited the brides she spoke with.
I was particularly intrigued by the head pieces that were modeled by Dawnielle’s daughters. Head pieces are a trendy must have for any special occasion. They are a gorgeous accessory for flower girls, maids of honor and brides! Of course, I love incorporating beautiful head pieces with any themed photo shoots!
If you are in the process of planning a wedding, be sure to stop and talk to Dawnielle and her team at Botanica Creations at 2223 N. Eldorado Bld. in Klamath Falls, OR. It will be your pleasure. They deliver a personal connection with brides and gorgeous arrangements for the wedding day. This is confirmed by the many previous bride compliments on the Botanica Creations Facebook page!
Once upon a time . . . Trever and Ashley had an engagement photo session near Lake of the Woods. We walked through a field and down a path with the Fall air and scents beginning to set in. These two have many exciting things surrounding them, but the planning and anticipation of the wedding is surely near the top of the list. Trever will be in his Marine Corp. dress blues and Ashley’s dress is amazing. The venues they are considering are rustic and classy. Yup, I pretty much cannot wait to photograph their wedding day! Stay tuned for their Happily Ever After . . .
I had the pleasure of assisting Speckled Hen Photography with the very fairytale wedding of Mitch and Katie Montchalin in Mission, OR. My day started with photographing the fun group of groomsmen. The guys prepared at the Mission Chapel. This followed with a first look session and then to the wedding. The ceremony honored the two cultures of the bride and groom with two pastors present and sentimental details decorating the site. Mr. and Mrs. Montchalin were swept away in a white horse drawn carriage where they met friends and family at the reception. The reception had food catered by El Charrito of Pendleton, OR, a modern Mariachi band with DJ, and we set up a photo booth for guests. Can it get any more perfect than this? Congrats to Mitch and Katie!
